The panel titled "The Past, Present, and Future of Radio Programming" was held at Istanbul Rumeli University's Haliç Application and Research Campus on the 97th Anniversary of Turkish Radio Broadcasting, organized by the Media Club under the guidance of Dr. Bahar ATMACA DEMİR, the advisor of the Media Club, and moderated by the president of the Media Club, Erencan UYSAL. Guest speakers Cem ARSLAN, Ceyhun YILMAZ, Fulya İMİK, Rıza ESENDEMİR, and Turhan ALYAKUT participated in the panel.
In the first part of the panel, the guests summarized the history of radio broadcasting and its current status, while also sharing their predictions about the future of the industry with the students. In the second part, the guests answered questions from the Media Club members, touching upon topics such as digital broadcasting and changes in listening habits.
The panel progressed with a question-and-answer session and the sharing of experiences in the industry. At the end of the panel, special model plaques designed by the students of the Department of Architecture, coordinated by Dr. Hatice Çiğdem ZAĞRA ÖZ, Head of the Department of Architecture, were presented jointly by the students of the Department of Radio, Television, and Cinema and the Department of Architecture, accompanied by flowers. This event emerged as an important platform for discussion and knowledge exchange regarding the past, present, and future of radio broadcasting.
