The filming of the theater play "I Used to Be Very Famous" written and directed by Research Assistant Gökhan ERARSLAN from the Faculty of Fine Arts, Design, and Architecture at Istanbul Rumeli University has been successfully completed.
Speaking about the main theme of the play, Research Assistant Gökhan ERARSLAN stated, "The 90s were not just about beautiful memories; it was also a period of economic crises, political turmoil, and unresolved murders. We continue the story that began on that day. On stage, we find our character in an ethical dilemma and bring this dilemma to the audience. We expect the audience to make a judgment and decide on behalf of our character."
In the play, we look at the past through the eyes of a former child star from the 90s whose name is almost forgotten today. Ezgi HÜYÜKPINAR ERARSLAN, who portrays this character, said, "I portray a former child actor from the 90s in the play. Our character has a very intense conflict, and we share this conflict with the audience. He tries to live and tell the story that began in the 90s to the audience today."
The production of the play was coordinated by Research Assistant Dr. Tarkan ÖZTÜRK from the Department of Radio, Television, and Cinema at Istanbul Rumeli University, and it was realized with the participation of students from the Radio, Television, and Cinema department as part of the "Film Production Management" and "Photography Techniques" courses.
