A seminar titled "Urban Transformation Process in Architectural Structures and Reinforced Concrete Buildings" was held at the Akkın Akkan Conference Hall, organized by the Interior Design Program of Istanbul Rumeli University Vocational School. The seminar featured guest speaker Associate Professor Aykut BATUR, a High Architect.
During the seminar, the discussion revolved around designing structures that would simplify life for design students and provide aesthetically pleasing structures that meet the eye's needs. Additionally, emphasis was placed on the qualities that a good architect should possess and the significance of having talent or skill in design. Detailed discussions were held on how architectural structures can appeal to human senses while ensuring human safety, particularly focusing on whether Istanbul is prepared for earthquakes, how urban transformation processes can help develop at-risk structures, and how progress can be made.
The seminar also delved into the importance, processes, conditions, and most efficient methods for urban transformation, along with the significance of senses in architecture and how architectural structures can appeal to human senses. At the end of the seminar, a plaque was presented to Associate Professor Aykut BATUR in appreciation for his contributions to our students.
