Seminar on Individual Water Use Efficiency Awareness in Water Efficiency Held
İstanbul Rumeli University, in collaboration with the Faculty of Economics, Administrative, and Social Sciences, the Department of Aviation Management, the Social Responsibility Implementation and Research Office (SORUM), and the Continuous Education Center, successfully organized the "Awareness Seminar on Individual Water Use Efficiency" at the Haliç Application and Research Campus Conference Hall. The seminar began with opening speeches by Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Ayşe YİĞİT ŞAKAR and Instructor Serap DAŞ. Environment High Engineer Mehmet Can GÜÇLÜ from the Agricultural Infrastructure and Land Evaluation Department of Istanbul Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry, Water Efficiency Studies Unit, participated as a speaker.
During the seminar, various information was shared to raise awareness among participants about the more efficient use of water in their daily lives. Emphasis was placed on practical ways to prevent water wastage and use water effectively. Participants were reminded of the importance of being more conscious of water usage and the need to take measures to conserve water resources.
The "Awareness Project on Individual Water Use Efficiency in the Context of Water Efficiency Mobilization" aimed to increase awareness about what individuals can do to conserve water and raise awareness. Within the scope of this project, Water Use Instruction Signs were used at our university to remind individuals of the correct use of water on mirrors commonly encountered in our daily lives. By placing these signs in the most visible places, attention was drawn to the effective use of water and conservation methods, and practical suggestions were provided to participants.
Furthermore, the seminar focused on water efficiency and conservation methods, highlighting the importance of correct water usage and how it can be applied in daily life. The aim was to make participants more conscious and responsible regarding water usage.
At the end of the seminar, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Ayşe YİĞİT ŞAKAR presented a plaque to speaker Mehmet Can GÜÇLÜ.
