On Monday, March 25th, Istanbul Rumeli University, Vocational School, Department of Design, held a "Workshop on Traditional Turkish Motifs Printed on Bags" at the Mehmet Balcı Campus, Architecture Workshop II, Room C-311.
During the workshop, students engaged in practical activities where they selected their designed models and drew them on linoleum. Then, they carved over the drawings to create various patterns and transferred these patterns onto fabric bags by painting them. The resulting works, varying in creativity and design, not only conveyed the value of traditional Turkish art to the students but also provided them with an opportunity to enhance their skills in using motifs in the design process.
After the completion of the works, they were left to dry for display in the foyer area of the Mehmet Balcı Campus on Friday, March 29th.
