Istanbul Rumeli University continues to connect its students and alumni with the professional world through career-oriented events. The Career Days event held from April 29 to May 3 was a great success with the participation of leading experts and pioneering companies.
More than 20 companies and experts participated in the events held at the Haliç Application and Research Campus and the Silivri Mehmet Balcı Campus. Among these events, the presentation by ATV Programs Director and Who Wants to Be a Millionaire Producer Mehmet Çam on career opportunities in the media sector received great interest. Sharing his own experiences, Çam advised students to aim for the best in their careers and emphasized the importance of patience, careful observation, and taking responsibility.
In the discussion titled "What Should We Pay Attention to While Climbing the Career Ladder?" attended by students of the Faculty of Economics, Administrative, and Social Sciences, Timtaş Chairman of the Board Mehmet Akay shared his personal experiences and advised students to aim for the best in their jobs. In the same event, Kemal Çelik, President of the Konya Industrialists and Businessmen Association and Chairman of the Evdema Board, shared insights into creating a career in the business world with students.
The Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Regional Employment Offices participated in the career days events by providing training to students and alumni and collecting CVs. Additionally, the Turkish Employment Agency (İŞKUR) provided career counseling services to students and graduates by organizing career planning seminars.
Mutlu Kocaova, Senior Electrical Engineer, and Tuğçe Doğan, Human Resources Manager, from Radore Data Center shared insights with students about engineering and recruitment processes. Zeki Kara, Coordinator of Plus Kitchen Group Kitchens, and HR Specialist Elveda Gürsu provided information to students and graduates about career opportunities in gastronomy.
Semih Gümüş, Employer Brand Manager at Pronet, provided tips to students on CV preparation and interview techniques, while Prof. Dr. Rana Atabay Kuşçu from Istanbul Medipol University discussed important topics such as climate crisis and sustainability. Zafer Düztepe and Müjdat Güler, members of the Board of Directors and CEO of Nova Group Holding, provided information to students about effective environmental management and careers abroad, while Mahmut İnan, Founder Distributor of Oxo Global, emphasized the importance of entrepreneurship and networking.
