Students of the Physiotherapy program of the Therapy and Rehabilitation Department of our university graduate from their departments with an associate degree at the end of 2 years of education. Entrance to the school is with TYT score and the language of education is Turkish.
During their 2-year education, our students can do a double major or get a certificate by increasing their knowledge in a different field with the minor program. After graduation, they can complete their undergraduate education by taking the DGS (Vertical Transfer Exam) and gain the advantage of being preferred in their professional life. In addition to the applied curriculum, they can also benefit from additional certificate programs that facilitate minor and double major opportunities, which are prepared by the Rumeli Education Method and expert instructors, and provide profit and preference in professional life.
With career English courses, our graduates can obtain national job opportunities, and they can also benefit from foreign job opportunities by following the knowledge of their field in an international language.

Istanbul Rumeli University Department of Therapy and Rehabilitation score type is TYT and the language of instruction is Turkish. At the end of 2 years of education, our students graduate with an associate degree diploma and the title of Physiotherapy Technician.
Graduates of the Physiotherapy Program are experts in physical therapy applications under the supervision of a physiotherapist in the health sector, which has scientific equipment to work in university and state hospitals, private hospitals, health centers and SPA / Thermal facilities, especially in physical and rehabilitation departments and clinics. may be employed to assist the doctor. For this reason, Physiotherapy Technicians prepare the patient for physical therapy, apply physical therapy in line with the directives of the relevant doctor or physiotherapy specialist, prepare physiotherapy devices, tools and maintain physiotherapy devices with the works and procedures they have done in the hospitals they work under the supervision and control of the relevant specialist doctors.
In addition to the applied curriculum, the Rumeli Education Method includes additional certificate programs within the Continuing Education Center, which are prepared by industry representatives and instructors who are experts in their fields, facilitating minor and double major opportunities, and providing profit and preference in professional life.
In addition to national job opportunities, our students are given Career English courses after graduation, where they can follow the knowledge of their field in an international language and evaluate their job opportunities abroad.
During the training, in addition to theoretical knowledge, massage Techniques, Introduction to Physiotherapy, Rheumatic Diseases, Neurological Diseases, Kinesiology, Orthotics Prosthesis, Electrotherapy and mainly Physiotherapy Applications courses are given. The trainings and the applications made with the devices and equipment in our university provide our students with practical experience before graduation. In this way, we gain the qualifications required by the profession and our students are trained as well-equipped health personnel.

The language of instruction of the Physiotherapy associate degree program is Turkish (compulsory by YÖK). General English lessons are given by distance education. Students whose general English level is B1 according to CEFR, They can request Career English courses conducted under the Continuing Education Center. Career English courses open the way for students to follow the knowledge of their field in international language and to search for job opportunities abroad.
Physiotherapy Technicians, in the institutions and organizations they work; In line with their areas of expertise, experience, and service content of institutions and organizations, they can take place in management levels. Students who successfully complete the physiotherapy program can transfer vertically to the "Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, Nursing and Nursing and Health Services four-year undergraduate programs" with the Vertical Transfer Exam. The curriculum of the program has been prepared considering the students who want to continue their education at the faculty and it is aimed that they will not lose a semester.
After the first semester, students who are placed in the Physiotherapy Program can transfer to the associate degree program of their choice according to the placement score type with horizontal transfer between in-house and external programs.
Horizontal transfer procedures can be applied in two ways with the criteria determined by the Higher Education Institution;
• Departments in accordance with the principles of internal and inter-institutional transfers with a Weighted Grade Point Average (AGNO); Dental Services Division all programs, Therapy and Rehabilitation Division all programs, Medical Services Division all programs, Health Services Care Division all programs, Child Care and Youth Services Division all programs
• Inter-institutional and intra-institutional transfer in accordance with the principles of lateral transfer with a central placement score.
Our Physiotherapy Program students can do a double major in all programs of the Department of Therapy and Rehabilitation, all programs of the Department of Dental Services, all programs of the Department of Medical Services and Techniques, all programs of the Department of Health Care Services, all programs of the Child Care and Youth Services Department. If he/she submits a request for a double major from another department, an evaluation is made about the eligibility between the relevant program and the faculty. The student who completes the second major is entitled to receive a diploma from this program as well.
With the opportunity of double major, our students can improve themselves during their education and certify their qualifications with diplomas and certificates.
Istanbul Rumeli University Physiotherapy Program students are supported by department-specific certificate programs given by the Continuing Education Center. The certificates to be issued follow the legislative updates. Students who successfully complete their certificate programs transition to professional business life by having the equipment needed in the international arena at the graduation stage.
