Istanbul Rumeli University Audiometry Program gives its students an associate degree diploma and the title of Audiometry Technician at the end of 2 years of education. The score type of the Audiometry Program is TYT and the language of instruction is Turkish.
Associate degree graduates with the title of Audiometry Technician can work in the audiology clinics of public and private hospitals under the supervision and supervision of an audiologist and an ear, nose and throat specialist. He can take part in hearing screening programs and noise measurements. In the technological field, it can also be employed in organizations that design, maintain and sell hearing aids.
Students of the Audiometry Program can complete a double major program during their 2-year education and complete their undergraduate education by taking the DGS (Dikey Geçiş Sınavı) after graduation and gain advantages in both profit and preference in their professional life.
Rumelian Education Method; In addition to the applied curriculum, it includes additional certificate programs within the body of the Continuing Education Center, which are prepared by industry representatives and instructors who are experts in their fields, facilitating minor and double major opportunities, and providing profit and preference in professional life.
In addition to national job opportunities, our students are given Career English courses after graduation, where they can follow the knowledge of their field in an international language and evaluate their job opportunities abroad.
Audiometry Program During the 2-year education; Hearing, Speech Anatomy and Physiology, Sound Physics and Acoustic Principles, Fundamentals of Audiology, Hearing and Measurement, Basic First and Emergency Aid, Hearing Devices and Equipment, Ear Nose Throat Diseases, Balance Systems, Medical Terminology, Objective Test Methods, Audiometry Practices Health Ethics , Speech Development, Behavioral Sciences, Advanced Test Methods in Audiometry, Vestibular Test Methods, Sign language education courses are given.
The language of instruction of the Audiometry Associate Degree Department is Turkish. General English courses (compulsory by YÖK) are given via distance education. However, students whose General English level is B1 according to CEFR can request Career English courses conducted under the IRU Continuing Education Center. Career English courses open the way for students to follow the knowledge of their field in an international language and to search for opportunities abroad.
Biomedical Device Technologies field and all branches of Vocational and Technical Anatolian High Schools, Emergency Health Services field and all branches of Health Vocational High Schools, Anesthesia and Reanimation field and all branches, Nursing-Midwifery-Health officer field and graduates from all branches and Health Petty Officer and Preparation School graduates are placed with additional points when they choose the Audiometry Associate Degree Program.
Our Audiometry Program students have the right to receive a double major diploma from the associate degree program of their choice from the departments listed below, with priority in all programs of the "Medical Services and Techniques" within the scope of the double major, without extending the semester.
