Istanbul Rumeli University Home Patient Care Program gives its students an associate degree diploma and the title of Home Patient Care Technician (Health Technician) at the end of 2 years of education. Home Patient Care Program score type is TYT and the language of education is Turkish.
Home Patient Care Program, associate degree graduates have the opportunity to work in social services and child welfare institutions, municipalities, hospitals (state hospitals, university hospitals, private hospitals), non-governmental organizations, retirement homes, nursing homes for the elderly, and day care centers for the elderly. Graduates can pursue an academic career by taking undergraduate and graduate education.
The Rumeli Education Method is applied to the students of Istanbul Rumeli University Home Patient Care program, which will increase their preference when they complete their 2-year education and graduate.
Rumeli an Education Method; In addition to the applied curriculum, it includes additional certificate programs within the body of the Continuing Education Center, which are prepared by industry representatives and lecturers who are experts in their fields, facilitating minor and double major opportunities, and providing profit and preference in professional life.
In addition to national job opportunities, our students are given Career English courses after graduation, where they can follow the knowledge of their field in an international language and evaluate their job opportunities abroad.
Home care program; A home patient who improves the quality of life of the patient by evaluating the patient in need of home care as a whole with his family and environment, can recognize the characteristics of the patient, perform daily care, perform physiotherapy and occupational therapy, get the patient out of bed, give medicine to the patient, care for special diseases, and apply first aid. It trains well-trained health personnel who can care and serve the community.
It is carried out in the laboratory / practice classes of our students and in our contracted practice hospitals. In this way, our students are trained as well-equipped health personnel by gaining the qualifications required by the profession. Our students receive practical training during the semester and during the summer months.
In this chapter; likes to serve people and likes to be with them, is interested in biology, can empathize, caring, tolerant, patient, smiling, able to plan and put a job into practice, have high communication skills, careful and attentive to their work, able to work multidisciplinary, follow developments closely, and People who can apply it and who do not have mental and physical disorders can be successful.
Home patient care The language of instruction of the Associate Degree Department is Turkish. General English courses (compulsory by YÖK) are given by distance education. However, students whose General English level is B1 according to the CEFR, can attend İ.R.Ü. They can request Career English courses conducted under the Continuing Education Center. Career English courses open the way for students to follow the knowledge of their field in an international language and to search for opportunities abroad.
Students who successfully complete the associate degree education of Istanbul Rumeli University Home Patient Care Program, after the training they received from the expert academic staff of our university, with the Vertical Transfer Exam (DGS);

• Physical therapy and rehabilitation
• Gerontology
• Nursing
• They can complete their undergraduate education in Nursing and Health Services departments.
The home patient care program curriculum has been prepared considering that students can continue with DGS and it is aimed not to lose a semester.
Horizontal transfer procedures can be applied in two ways with the criteria determined by the Higher Education Institution;
• Transfer in accordance with the principles of horizontal transfer between and within the institution with a Weighted Grade Point Average (AGNO). Departments that can be transferred without extending the semester with curriculum compatibility;
-All programs of the Department of Medical Services and Techniques
• Inter-institutional, inter-institutional and intra-institutional transfer in accordance with the principles of lateral transfer with a central placement score.
After the first semester, students who are placed in the Home Care Services Program can transfer to the associate degree program of their choice according to the placement score type, by transferring between in-house and non-institutional programs.
Our home patient care program students have the right to receive a double major diploma from the associate degree health programs they will choose from the departments listed below, with all programs in the "Health Care Services Department" within the scope of the double major.

Students of Istanbul Rumeli University Home Patient Care Program are supported by certificate programs given by the Continuing Education Center throughout the education period. The certificates to be issued follow the legislative updates. Students who successfully complete their certificate programs transition to professional business life with the equipment needed in the international arena at the graduation stage.
