The aim of the program is to educate and train technicians to use scientific methods and perform scientific research to identify illnesses. Upon successful completion of the program students will be able to: use technical equimpent and materials appropriately, contribute to scientific works and work as an assist to pathology.
The Pathology Laboratory Techniques program is a two year associate degree program. Graduates are awarded with the associate degree of “Pathology Laboratory Techniques”. Some courses provided within the scope of the program are Anatomy, Physiology, Medical Terminology, Occupational Ethics, Laboratory Safety, Microbiology, Basic Biochemistry and Sterilization Principles.
For those who choose to complete the Pathology Laboratory Techniques program and want to work as a Pathology Laboratory Techniques technician should:

Upon successful completion of the two year associate degree program in Pathology Laboratory Techniques, technicians can work in public or private health institutions, hospitals and clinics.
Furthermore, students who complete the program with success can transfer to undergraduate programs through the vertical transfer exam organized by the Student Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM).

The language of instruction of the 2 year associate degree program in Pathology Laboratory Techniques is Turkish. However, in order for our students to gain a competitive edge in the field, we also provide an advanced level English language education.
