Justice

Purpose Of The Program

Law which is an integral part of every aspect of society aims to solve problems. In order for justice to be brought in a timely and effective manner, it needs skilled middlemen. In addition to general theoretical courses the Justice program at Istanbul Rumeli University also provides practical courses to form well-equipped individuals. Graduates can work in judicial and administrative institutions or as assistant lawyers in law offices. Increasing demand requires the recruitment of qualified individuals to work in the public and private sectors of law.

The Justice program is a two-year associate degree program. Graduates are awarded with the associate degree of “Justice”. Those who wish to transfer to the faculty of law for further education can upgrade their degree to an undergraduate degree through the horizontal transfer exam.

Students in the Justice program not only learn theoretical knowledge of law, they also take part in courses which prepare them for daily life situations. As a result, possible problems that can arise between theory and practice can be avoided.

Elementary courses such as Constitutional Law, Civil Law, Obligations Law, Criminal Law and Criminal Procedures, Labor and Social Security Law, Law of Civil Procedures, Enforcement and Bankruptcy Law are supported by courses such as Informatics and Communications Technologies, English, National Judiciary Informatics Systems, Office Management, Equity Legislation and Keyboard usage.  Electives which allow students to choose courses in their area of interests are also available within the curriculum.

The language of instruction of the 2 year vocational Justice program is Turkish. However, in order for our students to gain a competitive edge in the field, we also provide an advanced level English language education.

Our students must successfully complete their internships so that they become familiar with situations related to their fields. Upon completion of their internships students will have had the opportunity to apply their theoretical knowledge and skills to practical situations and applications. As a result, students are better equipped when they enter the workforce.

Each year, Istanbul Rumeli University offers students the opportunity to participate in the exchange of students with universities abroad within the extent of exchange programs administrated by the International Relations Office of Rumeli University.
