The applied seminar program titled “Load Monitoring, Regeneration, and Return to Play in Sports” was held at the Anadolu Central Campus through the collaboration of the Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation within the Faculty of Health Sciences and the Department of Coaching Education within the Faculty of Sports Sciences at Istanbul Rumeli University. The program was organized under the coordination of Prof. Dr. Özlem Kırandı, Assist. Prof. Dr. Gamze Başkent, and Assist. Prof. Dr. Mehmet İnan.
The event, which aimed to bring together the disciplines of physiotherapy and coaching on a common platform, featured several expert presentations. Research Assistant M. Fatih Sarı explained the theoretical foundations of internal and external load monitoring in sports and their relationship with injury risk. Assist. Prof. Dr. Emrah Özdemir emphasized the importance of multidisciplinary collaboration in stress types and recovery strategies through case presentations. In the final part of the program, Assist. Prof. Dr. İhsan Alişah elaborated on return-to-play (RTP) criteria following anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injuries and the role of coaches within rehabilitation protocols.
Combining professional experience with clinical reasoning approaches, this visionary event provided participants with a scientific perspective on performance optimization and injury management processes. The program was successfully completed as a qualified educational event that equipped future professionals with strong teamwork skills, ethical values, and competencies aligned with the current needs of the sports sector.
