At Istanbul Rumeli University, the Double Major Program (ÇAP) is an academic opportunity that allows students who successfully continue their associate or undergraduate major program and meet certain achievement criteria to enroll in a second diploma program, enabling them to pursue two different degrees simultaneously.
Students who fulfill all course requirements and obligations in both the major and second major programs are eligible to receive two separate diplomas.
Double Major Application Requirements:
• The student must have a minimum cumulative GPA (CGPA) of 3.00 out of 4.00 in the major program.
• All courses required up to the semester of application must have been successfully completed.
• The student must be ranked in the top 20% of their class. However, students not in the top 20% may still be accepted if their entrance score meets or exceeds the base score of the second major program.
• Applications can be submitted at the earliest at the beginning of the 3rd semester and at the latest at the beginning of the 5th semester for undergraduate programs; and from the 2nd to the 3rd semester for associate degree programs.
• Applications are evaluated and finalized by the decision of the relevant Faculty or School Administrative Board.
The Minor Program at Istanbul Rumeli University is an academic option offered to successful undergraduate students who wish to gain expertise in an additional field by taking a specified number of courses from another program in addition to their major.
Students in a minor program receive a "Minor Certificate", not a second diploma.
Minor Application Requirements:
• Only undergraduate students are eligible to apply.
• The student must have a minimum cumulative GPA (CGPA) of 2.50 out of 4.00.
• All courses required up to the semester of application must have been successfully completed.
• Applications can be submitted at the earliest at the beginning of the 3rd semester and at the latest at the beginning of the 6th semester.
• Applications are evaluated by the relevant Faculty Administrative Board.
