Istanbul Rumeli University Sports Management Department gives its students the title of "Sports Manager" with a bachelor's degree at the end of 4 years of education.
Graduates with the title of Sports Manager, can work as sports managers in public and private institutions, as managers at different levels in the administrative structure of amateur and professional sports clubs, in private sports facilities and enterprises, in service units suitable for their education and specialization in the central and provincial organization of the General Directorate of Sports Services. They can take part in the organization and implementation of sports activities in life, in the relevant staff of local administrations, as well as in making leisure time and organizing sports organizations in touristic hotels, motels and businesses. In addition, they are employed as instructors in the Physical Education and Sports Schools and Sports Sciences Faculties of the universities. Graduates can pursue an academic career by taking postgraduate education. Provided that the pedagogical formation is completed, graduate students also have the opportunity to become a physical education teacher.

Practical Professional English Training is provided to our graduates, which will enable them to work internationally as well as national job opportunities. Intensive professional practice foreign language education is available as an elective in the curriculum of Istanbul Rumeli University, where the Language and Content Integrated Education (DIBE) method is applied.
Our department, with its theoretical and applied education curriculum, enables students to have knowledge in many areas, like, to analyze sports organizations internal and external environment, to solve their problems and to make and apply decisions according to changing conditions, to gain sports culture, to adopt the Olympic and fair play philosophy, in order to specialize in a particular area in sports and relevant organizations to sports, to give it the ability to explain and spread it to the society. The management sciences have curriculum such as human behavior, law, finance, business, health, media and communication, information technologies, marketing and entrepreneurship courses. It is aimed that students graduate as highly educated individuals. The education period is 4 years and the language of education is Turkish. Coaching Department accepts students with the Special Talent Exam, provided that the TYT (the name of university exam) score is at least 150 points. Note: In order to graduate, each student must attend one summer and one winter camp during his/her 4-year education. Those who want to work as a Sport Manager Instructor in the sector by choosing the Sports Management department; · have an interest and ability to sports, · have high communication skills, · be aware of the requirements of teamwork, · have advanced management skills, · have organizational skills, · Those with coaching, leadership, mentoring and analytical thinking skills will be successful in this department. Our graduates can continue their education in master's and doctoral programs if they want to continue their academic careers. In addition, they will have the opportunity to carry out their professions in the international area by improving their foreign language knowledge to the top level. Owing to the importance of practice in the technical area, our students must successfully complete their internships. In these internship periods, students will be able to get to know the working areas related to the departments they are studying, learn the activities in the workplaces, and use their knowledge and skills acquired through education by practicing. The language of instruction in the Sports Management undergraduate program is Turkish. The team of Istanbul Rumeli University educates individuals who can express themselves in the field of international study with Practical Vocational English Education and have professional qualifications with the Content and language integrated learning method (CLIL). Intensive Practical Vocational English (foreign language) Education is available in the curriculum as an elective course. Sports management, which is one of the most important components of the sports sector, contains many information fields. It prepares projects for the needs and demands that arise in line with sectoral developments, contributes to the solution of current and potential problems, and conducts both theoretical and practical academic research by following the innovations in the field. Graduates of the Department of Sports Management can work in the following areas: · Universities, · Local authority, · Amateur and professional sports clubs, · Sports Federations, · Central and provincial organizations of Ministry of Youth and Sports, · Those who are national athletes as sports experts in National Lottery and Spor Toto Organization. They can also take part in teaching and organizing sporting activities such as private gyms and the tourism industry.
