The Department of Exercise and Sports Sciences for the Disabled gives its students the title of “Exercise and Sports Trainer/Expert for the Disabled” with a bachelor's degree at the end of 4 years of education.
Undergraduate graduates who received the title of Exercise and Sports Instructor / Specialist for the Disabled; Disabled people find opportunities to be physical education and sports trainers and coaches in the fields of expertise in the national and international public and private sectors. They can serve as healthy living specialists for individuals with different disability diagnoses. They can get a second level coaching certificate from the federation to which the sports branch they choose as an optional specialization branch and can work as a trainer in the specialty branch. They can work as physical education and sports specialists in rehabilitation centers and other institutions that provide education to people with disabilities. In addition, graduates of the department who get sufficient points from the Public Personnel Selection Examination (KPSS) will be able to be employed in public institutions. Graduates who want to pursue an academic career will be able to work as a lecturer in a program related to their field in any university, provided that they meet the necessary conditions (getting the necessary scores from central exams such as ALES, YDS, TOEFL, and having sector experience). Provided that the pedagogical formation is completed, graduate students also have the opportunity to become a physical education teacher.
The Rumeli Education Method is applied to the students of Istanbul Rumeli University, Exercise and Sports Department for the Disabled, which will increase their preference when they complete their 4-year education and graduate.

Practical Professional English Training is provided to our graduates, which will enable them to work internationally as well as national job opportunities. Intensive professional practice foreign language education is available as an elective in the curriculum of Istanbul Rumeli University, where the Language and Content Integrated Education (DIBE) method is applied.
Our department is committed to facilitating the life skills of individuals of all ages and disability groups, who can prepare exercise programs taking into account the special needs of individuals, can measure, evaluate and analyze to improve motor skills, physical fitness, performance and condition, follow scientific and technological developments, and within the framework of ethical rules. It aims to train qualified exercise and sports experts who have acquired knowledge and aim to continuously improve themselves. In addition to providing opportunities for individuals with special needs to socialize through exercise and sports by raising individuals who adopt a life-long understanding of exercise and sports, care about the needs of the society, and respect themselves and their environment; It aims to train qualified experts who are equipped to support the awareness and positive attitude change towards special groups in the society, aiming to spread the disabled sports to large masses. The education period is 4 years and the language of education is Turkish. In order to study in the Department of Exercise and Sports Sciences for the Disabled, it is necessary to get at least 150 points from TYT and to be successful in the Special Talent Exam. Students who graduated from the Department of Exercise and Sports Sciences for the Disabled; Students of the Department of Exercise and Sports Sciences for the Disabled can transfer to other departments that accept students with a Special Talent Exam at the end of the first year. If the students of the Department of Exercise and Sports Sciences for the Disabled achieve sufficient success, they can do a double major-minor program with the Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, Nutrition and Dietetics and Psychology departments in our other faculties, as well as other departments in our faculty. Students of Istanbul Rumeli University Faculty of Sports Sciences, Exercise and Sports Sciences for the Disabled are supported by certificate programs given by the Continuing Education Center throughout the education period. The certificates to be issued follow the legislation program updates. Students who successfully complete their certificate programs transition to professional business life by having the equipment needed in the international arena at the graduation stage. 1.
