At the end of 4 years of education, the Department of Recreation of Istanbul Rumeli University gives its students a bachelor's degree and the title of "Recreation Instructor / Leader".
Undergraduate graduates who received the title of Recreation Specialist; They have employment opportunities in middle and senior management positions, which are located in other tourism enterprises and can carry out recreation activities, primarily in recreation enterprises with the education they have received. In addition, graduates of the department who get sufficient points from the Public Personnel Selection Examination (KPSS) will be able to be employed in public institutions. Graduates who want to pursue an academic career will be able to work as a lecturer in a program related to their field in any university, provided that they meet the necessary conditions (getting the necessary scores from central exams such as ALES, YDS, TOEFL, and having sector experience). Provided that the pedagogical formation is completed, graduate students also have the opportunity to become a physical education teacher.
Our students who benefit from the Rumeli Education Method can benefit from additional certificate programs that facilitate minor and double major opportunities, and provide profit and preference in professional life.
Practical Professional English Training is provided to our graduates, which will enable them to work internationally as well as national job opportunities. Intensive professional practice foreign language education is available as an elective in the curriculum of Istanbul Rumeli University, where the Language and Content Integrated Education (DIBE) method is applied.
In line with developing and advancing science and technology opportunities, our department provides students with knowledge about human anatomy, physiology, psychology, sociology in the field of sports sciences, and provides them with the opportunity to learn about recreation, entrepreneurship, leadership, physical fitness, life-long sports, introduction to sports sciences, rhythm and rhythm in recreation. It has a rich curriculum that includes lessons like dance, team and individual sports. Our students are talented, productive, able to follow new information, research and needs that will increase their work efficiency, adapt to teamwork, create awareness with a sense of social responsibility, are talented, productive, and are equipped in the fields of digital sports communication and neurosports, along with project-oriented studies, as well as recreational activities for the disabled. It is aimed to graduate as recreation specialists with theoretical and practical knowledge. The education period is 4 years and the language of education is Turkish. In order to study in the recreation department, it is necessary to get at least 150 points from TYT and to be successful in the Special Talent Exam. Students who graduated from the recreation department, If the students of the Recreation Department achieve sufficient success, they can do a double major-minor program with the Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, Nutrition and Dietetics and Psychology departments in our other faculties as well as other departments in our faculty. Students of Istanbul Rumeli University Faculty of Sports Sciences, Recreation Department are supported by certificate programs given by the Continuing Education Center throughout the education period. The certificates to be issued follow the legislation program updates. Students who successfully complete their certificate programs transition to professional business life by having the equipment needed in the international arena at the graduation stage.
