Rumeli University prides itself in offering an online English Program to freshmen students of the Department of Motor Vehicles and Transportation Technologies and the Department of Transportation Services on Uzem.
Students enrolled in the Aircraft Technology, Civil Aviation Cabin Services and Civil Aviation Transportation Administration programs receive an online general English education their first year of studies. In their first year, students in these programs participate an online English classes which aim to establish a strong foundation in general English via Uzem so that students are able to understand and communicate effectively in day to day activities and life. İn addition, these first year classes prepare our students for their second year Occupational English classes. Students in ali three programs receive general English education on Uzem in their first year. Our curriculum uses communicative teaching methods and values the communicative approach as this will be of significant importance in our students' subsequent personal and professional lives.
Despite the fact that T.R. İstanbul Rumeli University offers its students in the Aircraft Technology, Civil Aviation Transportation Administration and Civil Aviation Cabin Services programs an indispensable general English education, students who wish to do so can take the exemption exam for their first year General English courses. Students can get the informatıon on T.R. İstanbul Rumeli University's announcement page on our website. The exemption exam is composed of multiple choice questions for a total of 100 points. The exams vvill be graded with an optic reader. Students vvho achieve a passing letter grade of CC or a number score of 60 and above on the exemption exam will be exempt from the first year general English courses.
İn their second year, students move on to Basic English Classes for the first term and Occupational English classes fort he spring term of the second year after having acquired the necessary foundation in English in their first year.
CIVIL AVIATION CABIN SERVICES
Students in the Civil Aviation Cabin Services program receive 10 hours a week of Basıc English Course for a fall term and 10 hours a week of Occupational English Course in a spring term in their second year of studies. İn this intense English program students are taught the necessary procedures, announcements and sentence structures they vvill need to knovv in order to be successful in their field.
CIVIL AVIATION TRANSPORTATION ADMINISTRATION
Students in the Civil Aviation Transportation Administration program receive 10 hours a week of Basıc English Course for a fall term and 10 hours a week of Occupational English Course in a spring term in their second year of studies. İn this specifically tailored English program students acquire knovvledge of the necessary terms, concepts, procedures and management structures in airports so that they are vvell prepared vvhen they enter the work force to become successful professionals.
AIRCRAFT TECHNOLOGY
Students in the Aircraft Technology program receive 10 hours a week of Basıc English Course for a fall term and 10 hours a week of Occupational English Course in a spring term their second year of studies. İn this specific English program students learn how to read an aircraft maintenance manual in English so that they can follow oral and written instructions and procedures properly. Students who successfully complete this program will have gained the necessary skills in order to be competent aircraft technicians in the workplace
