T.R. İstanbul Rumeli University provides two different preparatory programs. We offer a Compulsory Preparatory program to students who will enrol in the English Psychology program as well as an Optional Preparatory program available to students who enrol in ali other programs available at our university.
COMPULSORY ENGLISH PREPARATORY PROGRAM
Our Compulsory English Preparatory program has been opened for students who will enrol in our English Psychology program in order to develop the fundamental skills necessary which will allow our students to use English fluently in their careers in an increasingly globalizing vvorld. There are between 25 -30 class hours per week and each class hour consists of 45 minutes. The duration of the program is 32 weeks. Each term has two midterms, one final and three speaking exams in total. İn addition to using basic language structures, students also improve their listening, speaking, reading and vvriting abilities. Our program also teaches our students the proper use of grammar, so that they will be able to work with academic readings related to their specific departments effectively. Moreover, upon successful completion of the program, students will be able to understand the English language, express themselves, speak fluently and use the language in their academic works.
OPTIONAL ENGLISH PREPARATORY PROGRAM
Both Associate degree and Bachelor degree students can participate in T.R. İstanbul Rumeli University's Optional English Preparatory program before they start their own programs. The Optional Preparatory program is designed to effectively and efficiently meet the needs of our students. Our program offers between 25-30 hours per week which includes reading, listening, speaking, writing and grammar lessons. Each term has two midterms, one final and three speaking exams.
