It is observed that various practices are being employed globally to preserve water resources. Along with the efforts of institutions and authorities for water respect-protection, it is known that individuals also have responsibilities to fulfill. It is believed that a valuable progress is made with the control of individual water usage.
Within the scope of the Individual Water Awareness Project on Water Efficiency, conducted in collaboration with SORUM, Aviation Management Department, and Continuous Education Center; water awareness signs have been placed in areas of intensive water usage at Istanbul Rumeli University, Mehmet Balcı, Haliç Application and Research, and Kadıköy Application and Research Campuses. The signs, explaining recycling processes and types, summarize the points individuals need to pay attention to in water usage. Within the project, water awareness signs are also visible as notifications on the university's website. Additionally, seminars will be organized and documentary-film screenings will be held throughout March with the participation of students, staff, and external stakeholders.
