Center's Activities

The activities of the center are as follows:

a) Conducting practical applications and research on the teaching of Turkish as a first or foreign language and developing teaching materials.

b) Establishing units domestically and internationally, in accordance with relevant legislation, to promote Turkey and Turkish culture, organizing trips to promote Turkish culture.

c) Conducting placement exams for those who want to learn Turkish as a foreign language, preparing and implementing instructional programs based on the results.

ç) Organizing language exams and language proficiency tests domestically and internationally.

d) Conducting comparative studies between the teaching of Turkish and other languages.

e) Collaborating with national and international institutions; when necessary, collaborating with the University's Continuing Education Application and Research Center to organize joint conferences, seminars, courses, and similar activities at the national and international level and certified training programs.

f) Offering courses and providing internships for teaching staff and teachers assigned to teach Turkish as a foreign language domestically and internationally by relevant public institutions.

g) Organizing practical programs, providing internships, and, if necessary, issuing certificates within the framework of relevant legislation for students and graduates of Turkish Studies, Turkish and Ottoman Studies, Comparative Literature and Middle Eastern Studies Departments/Institutes in foreign universities, and senior students and graduates of Turkish Language and Literature, Turkish Language and Literature Teaching, Turkish Teaching, Contemporary Turkish Dialects and Literatures, Linguistics, and Foreign Language Education Departments in universities in Turkey.

ğ) Offering social and culturally supported courses to improve the Turkish language skills of primary, secondary, and tertiary education students.

h) Developing and implementing programs to facilitate cultural integration for foreign nationals who later become citizens of the Republic of Turkey, returning migrants, their children, and individuals who come to Turkey for work/marriage purposes.

ı) Collaborating with media outlets and other educational institutions to ensure the correct and effective use of the Turkish language.
