General Secretariat; Duties, Liabilities and Responsibilities

Pursuant to 124 no Decree Law(KHK) on Higher Education Supreme Organizations and Article 27 of the Law on Administrative Organizations of Higher Education  Institutes; “Secretary General is the head of university's administrative organization”. Aforementioned KHK assigned below-listed legal rights to Secretary General on his/her behalf or through his/her subordinate units:

1. Ensuring that all afflicted units under university administrative organization work efficiently, cooperatively and systematically,
2. As a non-voter; reporting in the meetings of University Senate and University  Management Board; scripting, saving and protecting the resolutions taken in these board meetings,
3. Transferring resolutions of University Senate and University Management Board to the afflicted units under University,
4. Sharing the suggestions with the Rectorate about the personnel to appoint in university administrative organization,
5. Organizing media and public relations services,
6. Organizing the correspondence of Rectorate,
7. Organizing protocol, visits and ceremonial events of the Rectorate,
8. Accomplishing any relevant tasks assigned by the Rector.

Pursuant to Article 13 of Basic Regulations of İstanbul Rumeli University released on 03 July 2015 dated and no 29405 Official Gazette; Secretary General is the assigned head of University Administrative Organization and in charge of all administrative tasks of the University. As per the 5th article of said Regulation, s/he is the Reporter of University Board of Overseers.
