The "Homeland and Heroism Meetings" program was organized by the Istanbul Governorship Silivri Social Services Center Directorate in collaboration with Istanbul Rumeli University, as part of the 101st anniversary of our Republic and the Century of Turkey, at the Mehmet Balcı Campus.
The program was attended by our Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kara, the Director of Silivri Social Services Center Bekir Cenikli, Associate Prof. Dr. Süleyman Özmen from the Department of International Relations, our heroic Cyprus veterans Adnan Gürcan, Numan Kaçaroğlu, Reha Tokgöz, TSK veteran Ahmet Doğar, esteemed families of martyrs, and students.
The program, organized to reflect the experiences of our valued Cyprus veterans and TSK veterans to the students, began with a moment of silence and the National Anthem. Our Rector delivered a speech about the significance and importance of the day.
Adnan Gürcan, President of the Combat Veterans Association, shared his valuable memories during his speech. Additionally, Numan Kaçaroğlu, Reha Toksöz, and Ahmet Doğar shared their precious memories with the participants.
The program concluded with the presentation of gifts by Associate Prof. Dr. Süleyman Özmen and a group photo.
This meaningful program once again highlighted the importance of heroism and love for the homeland.
