Istanbul Rumeli University, in collaboration with the Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Association, hosted the First National Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Symposium. The event, held under the theme “Artistic Touches in Physiotherapy,” focused on the positive effects of art on human health.
During the symposium, scientific data was shared regarding the therapeutic effects of art and art programs in improving the physical condition, quality of life, and anxiety levels of individuals with physical disabilities. Participants gained awareness about the healing power of art, and the role of art in healthcare was discussed from a fresh perspective.
The event aimed to highlight the healing power of art, introduce new topics from a multidisciplinary approach, and create a platform for the exchange of ideas between experts and artists. Practical knowledge was shared, and the topic was discussed in depth, emphasizing the importance of art in healing within the healthcare field.
The symposium brought together expert physiotherapists, psychologists, artists, and academic staff. The in-person event was attended by 112 participants. This significant symposium, held at Istanbul Rumeli University, illuminated the intersections of health and art, offering an inspiring experience to the attendees.
