Istanbul Rumeli University's Faculty of Sports Sciences provided students with an educational and fun experience through the Summer Camp organized during the Spring Semester of 2024. The camp, held at the Aqua Fantasy Hotel in Kuşadası, Aydın, took place in two sessions between June 5-10 and June 10-15.
A total of 92 students from the departments of Coaching Education, Recreation, Exercise and Sports Sciences for Persons with Disabilities, Sports Management, and Exercise and Sports Sciences participated in the camp. Throughout the camp, students had the opportunity to engage in activities such as catamaran sailing, canoeing, and windsurfing to experience various water sports. At the end of the camp, they received participation certificates presented by the Turkish Sailing Federation.
The camp not only focused on academic education but also included various activities to help students relax and escape from the stress of the semester. Through recreational activities organized at the camp hotel, students enjoyed themselves and had the chance to form new friendships.
Assistant Professor Elif Aybüke Yılmaz from Istanbul Rumeli University's Faculty of Sports Sciences for Persons with Disabilities in Exercise and Sports Sciences, commented on the camp, stating, "Such activities are crucial for our students to apply theoretical knowledge into practice and develop their social skills. We are very pleased with the interest and participation shown by our students during the camp."
The camp concluded successfully, leaving students with unforgettable memories.
