Professional Knife Training Seminar Held by the Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Department

A "Professional Knife Training" seminar was organized by the Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Department of Istanbul Rumeli University’s Faculty of Arts, Design, and Architecture at the Haliç Application and Research Campus. The seminar was conducted by Fırat Erbil, the Corporate Training Specialist from PİRGE, a leading knife brand in the industry.

Fırat Erbil attracted significant interest not only from the students of the Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Department but also from students in other departments, as he explained the types and functions of knives they would use throughout their professional careers in detail and through practical demonstrations.

During the event, it was highlighted that it was important for Gastronomy and Culinary Arts students to understand their essential tool, the chef’s knife, and to learn how to use it effectively.

At the end of the seminar, Erbil tested the students' knowledge by asking them various questions, and he presented a chef's knife to those who performed successfully.
