Istanbul Rumeli University participated in the "AI in the Sky: A Unified Approach with ICAO" event, which aimed to explore the potential of artificial intelligence in the aviation industry. The university was represented by Şebnem Tamer, Compliance Monitoring and Safety Manager at RumeliSEM Flight School.
The opening speeches of the event were delivered by Mehmet Tevfik Nane, Chairman of Pegasus Airlines, Prof. Dr. Kemal Yüksek, Director General of Turkish Civil Aviation, Juan Carlos Salazar, Secretary General of ICAO, and Abdulkadir Uraloğlu, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure of Turkey.
The event, which attracted significant interest from participants, extensively discussed how artificial intelligence can bring transformation in critical areas of the aviation industry, such as flight safety and security, maintenance operations, enhancing the passenger experience, and data security.
Through its participation in this event, Istanbul Rumeli University had the opportunity to closely examine the latest developments in the fields of aviation and artificial intelligence.
