The Department of Hotel, Restaurant, and Catering Services of Istanbul Rumeli University Vocational School continues to connect its students with professionals from the gastronomy sector. As part of this initiative, an “Hors D'oeuvres Workshop” was held with the participation of Ramada Executive Chef Yaşar İzzet Atay and Ramada Garde Manger Chef Zuhal Atay.
During the workshop, unique dishes such as smoked salmon-stuffed macarons, delicate amuse bouche with dry beans, and crispy mutanca were prepared. Chef Yaşar İzzet Atay emphasized the importance of cold starters and shared key tips with the students on plate design. Additionally, he provided detailed insights into hotel management processes and kitchen operations, contributing to the students' comprehensive understanding of the industry.
The event concluded with a thank-you plaque presentation by the Head of the Department of Hotel, Restaurant, and Catering Services, Lecturer Sevcan Özkan, to Chef Yaşar İzzet Atay and Chef Zuhal Atay. Istanbul Rumeli University continues to organize events aimed at enhancing students’ professional knowledge and skills by bringing them together with experienced industry professionals.
