The Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation of the Faculty of Health Sciences at Istanbul Rumeli University organized an "Alumni Meeting." Dr. Lecturer Gamze Başkent, Head of the Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, was a speaker at the event. The event was also attended by the university's academic staff, alumni, and current students.
Following the principle that "the most valuable reference of a university is its alumni," our graduates shared their experiences from their student years, work life, and provided recommendations for the future. They emphasized how the success achieved during university years provides a significant advantage in subsequent career paths. The program highlighted the importance of stepping into professional life and sharing professional experiences based on the motto "Strength lies in unity," while also increasing communication among alumni. Additionally, these meetings were important for graduates who have secured significant positions in society, business, and other fields, to mentor students who are about to graduate, and for the university to have an opportunity to assess itself.
Başkent emphasized, "We gained valuable insights into how the professional education provided by our department is perceived from both the student and alumni perspectives, and the challenges our graduates face in their professional lives. We believe that the outcomes of this event will contribute to our department’s quality processes and improvement efforts within the university."
The program concluded with the presentation of certificates of appreciation to alumni for their participation in the event.
