A Seminar on International Work and Internship Opportunities Organized by the Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Department

The Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Department of Istanbul Rumeli University organized a seminar titled “Work and Internship Opportunities Abroad” with the aim of bringing future culinary professionals one step closer to their international career goals. The seminar, which took place at the Haliç Application and Research Campus, was held with the participation of Mehmet Serkan Yedikule, CEO of AME GROUP, which includes Big Chefs' branches in Germany and prestigious hotels.

During the seminar, Yedikule shared rich insights into work and internship opportunities abroad based on his own career journey. He detailed the processes of his consulting company’s international operations and the opportunities it offers, while also sharing his personal experiences. Emphasizing the importance of language skills and intercultural communication in the gastronomy sector, Yedikule provided valuable tips for students to enhance their professional skills.

Thanks to the seminar, students had the opportunity to turn their dreams of building a career abroad into a more concrete vision and gained clearer insights into the processes they may face. The event was an inspiring experience for young chef candidates aspiring to make their mark on the international culinary stage.

The seminar concluded with Dr. Instructor Member Ilgın Mutlubaş, Head of the Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Department, presenting a plaque to Mehmet Serkan Yedikule.
