A Sectoral Trip to Balparmak Company Organized by the Department of Gastronomy and Culinary Arts

A sectoral trip to the Balparmak company was organized by the Department of Gastronomy and Culinary Arts, Faculty of Arts, Design, and Architecture, Istanbul Rumeli University. Gastronomy and Culinary Arts students, accompanied by Instructor Sevda Köyüstü and Research Assistant Beydanur Nizam, had the opportunity to visit Balparmak.

During the sectoral trip to Balparmak, students gained extensive knowledge about honey production. These trips allowed students to experience the industry they will work in, helping them identify the areas they want to specialize in, while also providing valuable hands-on experience. Additionally, the students had the chance to learn more about various products produced by bees, such as bee bread, pollen, and royal jelly, as well as how the company manufactures these products using its own formulas and conducts laboratory tests.

This experience not only allowed students to familiarize themselves with the industry before entering the workforce but also contributed to their professional knowledge and skills.
