A Discussion on “Climb Your Own Everest: Find Your Place in Life” with Nasuh Mahruki Organized by the Global Policies Research and Implementation Center

A discussion titled “Climb Your Own Everest: Find Your Place in Life,” featuring the world-renowned mountaineer and founder of AKUT, Nasuh Mahruki, was held as part of the “Towards the Sun” program organized by Istanbul Rumeli University in collaboration with RUPAM. The event was attended by our Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kara, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Çetin, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences Prof. Dr. Ahmet Can, Dean of the Faculty of Economic and Administrative Social Sciences Prof. Dr. Ahmet Mucip Gökçen, and Director of the Vocational School Lect. Şebnem Tamer.

The discussion focused on Nasuh Mahruki's experiences regarding personal development, overcoming challenges, setting goals, and discovering one’s own potential. Participants gained valuable insights into how to overcome difficulties they face in various areas of life and how to discover themselves in the process.

RUPAM Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Süleyman Özmen stated regarding the event, “With such programs, we aim to inspire our students and participants, contributing to their personal and professional development. We believe that the experiences Nasuh Mahruki has gained throughout his life will serve as an important guide for everyone.”

Program coordinator Yiğit Er Yiğit added, “The ‘Towards the Sun’ program, which we launched in May at the request and encouragement of young people, aims to provide content that individuals from all walks of life can draw inspiration from. Having Mr. Nasuh Mahruki as a guest is an important step towards achieving this goal. He is an inspiration known worldwide for his contributions to our country and for pioneering initiatives.”
