A Conference on "The Past, Present, and Future of Turkish Foreign Policy" was Held
A conference titled "The Past, Present, and Future of Turkish Foreign Policy" was held at Istanbul Rumeli University's Mehmet Balcı Campus, with a presentation by Prof. Dr. Tarık Oğuzlu, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences at Istanbul Aydın University and Chairman of the Academic Board of the Foreign Policy Institute. During the conference, Oğuzlu comprehensively addressed Turkey's position and priorities in international relations.
Prof. Dr. Tarık Oğuzlu examined the fundamental parameters and historical phases of Turkish Foreign Policy. Describing Turkey as a medium-sized power, Oğuzlu emphasized that Turkish Foreign Policy is generally built on a balance policy. He explained that in line with this principle, Turkey focuses on balancing different power centers in the international arena and protecting its national interests.
At the end of the conference, Prof. Dr. Tarık Oğuzlu presented an optimistic projection about the future of Turkish Foreign Policy. He expressed his belief that Turkey will continue to be a significant actor contributing to regional and global peace. After answering questions from students, he concluded his presentation, and the conference ended with the presentation of a plaque.
