Istanbul Rumeli University held a commemoration ceremony for the 102nd anniversary of August 30 Victory Day. The event took place in the Akın Akkan Conference Hall at the Mehmet Balcı Campus, attended by Board of Trustees member Sadun Yavuz, Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kara, and Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Çetin, along with our administrative and academic staff.
The ceremony began with a moment of silence and the National Anthem, followed by a speech from Assoc. Prof. Dr. Süleyman Özmen of Istanbul Rumeli University. In his speech, Özmen emphasized the significance of August 30, stating, "August 30 is the seal of the Turkish Revolution." He also highlighted our national liberation struggle through short videos depicting the August 30 Victory and the success of Turkish soldiers during the Great Offensive.
Towards the end of the ceremony, Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kara concluded his remarks with the words, "Happy August 30 Victory Day. It is the day the Turkish nation rose from its ashes." The event concluded with a group photo.
