A ceremony was held by the Silivri District Governorship to commemorate September 19 Veterans Day, attended by our Rector, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kara. The event was attended by veterans, families of martyrs, local officials, and the public.
The program began with a march accompanied by a band and Turkish flags, leading to the Atatürk Monument. Following the opening speech of the commemoration ceremony, a wreath was laid at the Atatürk Monument. During the ceremony, participants sang the National Anthem together, accompanied by the Silivri band.
Silivri Mayor Bora Balcıoğlu gave a speech emphasizing the significance of the day, reminding everyone of the sacrifices and heroism of our veterans in defending the homeland. At a breakfast event, he met with the families of martyrs and veterans, presenting plaques to the veterans.
The Veterans Day Commemoration Ceremony concluded with expressions of gratitude and respect.
